This year’s International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2024 was a complete entertainer with some enthralling performances by the most popular Bollywood celebrities. Among them, Shahid Kapoor who is regarded as one of the best dancers in the Hindi film industry set the stage ablaze with his energetic act at the ceremony held at Yas Islands in Abu Dhabi. The Haider actor took to Instagram and shared a montage video from his performance at the grand award night that he captioned, “Banger of a night. Abu Dhabi you were just the best crowd.”
The video captures Shahid making a stylish entry on a bike and shaking a leg with celebs like Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Prabhu Deva.
As soon as the Ishq Vishk actor posed the montage, the comment section was flooded with reactions from fans and celebs alike. Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi and actress Bhumi Pednekar dropped fire emoticons. “What energy what swag,” wrote an Instagram user. Another user commented, “The energy in your performance, loved it.”
Recently, several videos of Shahid Kapoor’s energetic performance have surfaced online. One of them features him dancing with Bobby Deol on his superhit track Tera Rang Balle Balle from the film Soldier. Well, the fun did not end there, he was also seen shaking a leg with his Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya co-actress Kriti Sanon on the song Laal Peeli Akhiyaan.
Talking about the IIFA 2024, this year’s award function was hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar. The duo was also joined by the talented actor Vicky Kaushal. SRK bagged the Best Actor award for his performance in the action thriller film Jawan, while Rani Mukerji was announced as the Best Actress for her role in the drama film Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. The Best Director award was presented to Vidhu Vinod Chopra for 12th Fail and Ranbir Kapoor’s action film Animal won the Best Picture award.
Meanwhile, talking about Shahid’s upcoming projects, he will be next seen in the action thriller film Deva alongside Pooja Hegde. Helmed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film is all set to hit the theatres on February 14, 2025. Apart from that he also has Ashwatthama: The Saga Continues and director Vishal Bhardwaj’s next opposite actress Triptii Dimri.
