Arti Singh has finally opened up about her brother, Krushna Abhishek’s fight with ‘mama’ Govinda. In a recent interview, Arti expressed happiness that the Bollywood superstar attended her wedding earlier this year and revealed that she was never involved in their fight. She shared that Govinda loves her a lot and added that he has always taken care of her.
“I was the happiest that my Mama came. He came for a short time, but he came. For me, his coming was a big thing. Because after a long time, we all met. As soon as I saw him, I was very happy. I never had anything with him. You know me. I love him a lot. And I always used to tell everyone that… I mean, he has taken a lot of care of me. And he has loved me a lot. He has given me so much love. So, I was never involved in that. Whatever happened, I was never a part of it. But I am happy that he came for the marriage,” Arti told Paras Chhabra on his podcast.
Krushna Abhishek and Govinda’s rift was not unknown and was going on for over eight years. The two were not on talking terms. Krushna had also skipped The Kapil Sharma Show in the past whenever Govinda was invited as a guest.
However, when Arti got married to Dipak Chauhan in April this year, her actor-uncle Govinda graced the ceremony. While everyone was unsure about Govinda attending Arti’s wedding especially after he skipped the TV star’s Haldi, Sangeet and Mehendi ceremonies, the actor attended the wedding reception and surprised all.
Later, Govinda also blessed Arti and Dipak and told Instant Bollywood, “Ishvar se praarthana hai, jo kripa Arti par hui hai kisi prakaar ka vastu dosh na lage (I pray for her wellbeing and may god protect her from evil eyes).”
Krushna Abhishek also got emotional as he talked about Govinda attending Arti’s wedding. “Maama aaye bahut khushi hui. I was so happy to see him. Wo dil ki baat hai. Humara emotional connect hai,” he said.
