Abhishek Bachchan Once Cut Sister Shweta Bachchan's Hair During a Fight, Latter Recalls 'I Had To Go To...'

Do you ever fight with your siblings when your parents are not at home? Of course, all of us do and even Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan are no different. In the recent episode of her daughter Navya Nanda Naveli’s podcast series What The Hell Navya, Shweta Bachchan revealed how Abhishek once ‘ripped’ a chunk of her hair out when parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan were not at home.

“He cut it,” Shweta said, leaving her mother Jaya laughing out loud. Revealing why Abhishek did it, Shweta added, “We had a fight. Parents were out at night and we had some kind of argument. I don’t know how he found a pair of scissors, and he just caught my hair and he just…I had to go to school with that. Nani would put pins on my hair.”

Shweta then revealed how Jaya Bachchan used to style her hair every morning before going to school. “Nani used to do my hair every morning before going to school. I used to get so many whacks on my head with the comb, ‘Sit straight, sit straight’. Braiding my hair tight and then that loop hairstyle,” she told Navya.

During the interaction, Shweta talked about Amitabh Bachchan’s dislike of short hair on Bachchan women. “He hates it. Even when I ever cut my hair, he’s always like, ‘Why did you do it?’ He hates it. He likes long hair. He doesn’t like it when any of us cut our hair,” she said.

Shweta Bachchan is Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s elder child. She is two years older than Abhishek Bachchan. Shweta is married to Businessman Nikhil Nanda and has two children, Navya and Agastya. While Navya stays away from acting, Agastya recently made his acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. He will be next seen in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis.
