Celebrating the 35 glorious years of 'The Art of Living', Sri Sri Ravi Shankar embarks a three day extravaganza starting from today. It aims to celebrate the spirituality, service, humanity and human values that have all been an indispensable part of his organisation’s teachings.

The World Culture Festival 2016 will celebrate the cultural diversity from across the world. It’s not an everyday sight that an event as huge as this is organised for about 3.2 million people from various countries. To enter the Guinness Book of World Records, this event is also a bid for a record with a stage spread over an area of seven acres.

Even before the event started, it managed to create a buzz. While a fine of Rs 5 crore has already been imposed as a token of environment compensation, the organisers still managed to receive a thumbs up from the National Green Tribunal. From its location on the Yamuna banks to the massive security being charted out; everything about this has gained enough attention already.

The grand spectacle will also witness a multitude of religious leaders, dancers, musicians, performers from all walks of life. Besides the keynote addresses, there’ll also a big gamut of varied cultures on display. An inter-faith meet, sessions of guided meditations are also planned for the visitors. Over 35000 representatives from across the world are slated to perform at the event, including 8,000 musicians playing 40 instruments in a musical symphony. There will be several tribal artists from states such as Chhattisgarh, Sikkim and Maharashtra as mentioned on their website.
