The upcoming drama takes place during a summer day when a mysterious woman checks into a vacation home and turns the lives of its owners upside down.

Director, Mo Wan-il, is finally making his debut on Netflix with a new K-drama titled, The Frog, initially titled as, Alone in the Woods. Interestingly, the series also marks the OTT debut of veteran actor Kim Yoon-seok, who will star alongside talented cast members, including Yoon Kye-sang, Go Min-si and Lee Jung-eun. Written by Son Ho-young, the upcoming drama takes place during a summer day when a mysterious woman checks into a vacation home and turns the lives of its owners upside down. Ahead of the show’s release, the streaming giant recently dropped the eerie yet intriguing character posters, offering a glimpse into the drama’s uncomfortable atmosphere.

The newly released posters feature Kim Yoon-seok as Yeong-ha and Yoon Kye-sang as Sang-jun, with the text, “Dear guest, you are not allowed." While Yeong-ha’s poster shows him in a bright forest, Sang-jun has a distressed expression, hinting at the chaos caused by the guest. On the other hand, Go Min-si as Seong-ah is shown in a dark and rainy forest. Meanwhile, Lee Jung-eun as Bo-min is seen peeking through a slightly open door, who will play a key role in uncovering the mystery. Sharing the poster, Netflix wrote, “Be careful who you welcome. The Frog is about a woman who shatters the peace of a secluded pension."

The show takes place on a peaceful summer day when Seong-ah, a mysterious woman played by Ko Min-si, arrives at a rental home, owned by Kim Yoon-seok’s character, Young-ha. Despite the peace, Seong-ah brings chaos to Young-ha’s life and those around him. Meanwhile, Yoon Kye-sang stars as Sang-jun, who owns another motel and finds his peace disrupted by another guest. Alongside these three leads, Lee Jung-eun plays the police officer, who investigates the mysterious events affecting both Young-ha and Sang-jun.

The earlier released trailer offered a chilling preview of the series, featuring plenty of blood and suspense. It begins with Seong-ah arriving unannounced at Young-ha’s cottage, where she quickly unleashes her chaotic behaviour. Kim Yoon-seok’s character struggles to handle her presence and is shown fighting back, which only intensifies Seong-ah’s anger.
