Russian Tourist Harassed by Petrol Pump Worker in Jaipur, Indian Friend Seeks Help From Police

A recent incident unfolded in Jaipur where a Russian tourist encountered harassment at the hands of a petrol pump worker. The alleged inappropriate touching occurred while the worker was filling petrol into the vehicle the tourist was on, accompanied by her Indian friend, a Delhi-based travel vlogger known as ‘On Road Indian’ on YouTube. The entire ordeal was captured on video by the vlogger, who promptly started recording when he sensed the misconduct towards his Russian friend seated behind him. The video, later shared on social media, quickly went viral.

In the vlog, the YouTuber confronted the petrol pump worker, initially met with denial. However, the Russian tourist, identified as Victoria, asserted that the inappropriate touching had occurred not once but thrice, indicating the worker’s questionable intentions. Despite apologies from the petrol pump workers and attempts to resolve the matter, the YouTuber insisted on letting Victoria decide the course of action. She opted to involve the police, a decision promptly acted upon by the YouTuber.

Upon the police’s arrival, the incident was explained, and the officer instructed the man to apologise to Victoria, which he did. Unsatisfied, Victoria requested the cop to record the man’s name for future reference in case of any similar incidents. The incident reportedly occurred on November 7 but was delayed due to technical issues, as informed by the YouTuber.
