Buoyed by BJP veteran LK Advani's viewpoint that he was the right person for the party's chief ministerial candidate for Jharkhand, Yashwant Sinha on Thursday pledged that he would dethrone the JMM-led government through intensifying statewide agitation.
"We have to show a new path of development by ending the JMM-led government in Jharkhand. I will sit with the state party leadership to chalk out plans to launch massive agitation from June 21," Sinha said at a party demonstration on power supply crisis at Bes Reshmi village in Hazaribagh.
Incidentally, the senior BJP leader was earlier in the day released from jail on bail and he drove 20-km to the village to address party activists there. Sinha also said that his motive was not to become the next chief minister or getting the governor's post in any state 'which are small' for people of his calibre.
Sinha said he was still fit for more powerful posts but he would continue to fight for the people's cause. Advani on Monday said that Sinha was the 'right person' for the chief ministership and should lead the statewide agitation on some issues, including power crisis, against the state government.
