In order to prevent irregularities in works under taken by BBMP, Commissioner M K Shankaralinge Gowda said that work code will be revalidated before releasing funds.
On Saturday, he said that no work will be taken without work codes. Once the work code is given, a team headed by Special Commissioner K R Niranjan will revalidate it and then release funds for it.”By spot inspection, irregularities will come down to a certain extent,” he observed. The commissioner also said that if there is any change of place in the work undertaken, Joint Commissioners (JCs) from the respective zones should visit the field and endorse the change. “They will be held responsible in future. Change of place should be recommended by JCs,” he said.
