A special train has reportedly been sent to the accident site to rescue stranded passengers.
Kolkata: The Guwahati Kavi Guru Express rammed into a herd of 50 to 60 elephants, killing six and seriously injuring three others while passing through an elephant corridor in Dooars forest area. The incident happened at Jalpaiguri in West Bengal.
The herd has now blocked the train from moving.
