Everyone is talking about the character of Osama Bin Laden in the film Tere Bin Laden releasing this Friday. But the big question is: who is playing Osama's girlfriend in the film?
It is Sugandha Garg, who has acted in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and My Name is Khan. She plays Zoya, a make-up artist in Tere Bin Laden.
"Of course, it is the magic of the make-up artist who has given Pradhuman Singh (the actor playing Osama) the look which has created so much of a stir. I just take the credit on-screen by playing the role of a make-up artist," she jokes.
Sharing the experience on the sets, she says, "The day I saw Pradhuman on the set in Osama's attire, I wanted to run away. It is such a scary feeling to see Osama. I couldn't believe how someone could look so identical."
The film is a tongue-in-cheek story about an ambitious young news reporter from Karachi, Pakistan who is desperate to migrate to the US.
Sugandha finds a particular scene in the film, where Osama is digging his nose, the most hilarious. "Thank God, I was not there on the set that day. I saw the scene much later and I just couldn't stop laughing."
When asked how it was portraying Osama's girlfriend, she says, "It was a different feeling to be a terrorist's girlfriend."
