Vishnunath raises financial allegations against Isaac, KSSP

P C Vishnunath MLA has raised allegations of fund misappropriation against former Finance Minister T M Thomas Isaac and the Kerala Sastra Sahithya Parishad (KSSP), an NGO backed by CPM.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday Vishnunath demanded a probe into the fund utilisation by the KSSP. He was in city as part of the Manavika Yatra organised by the Youth Congress against political violence.

“Thomas Isaac knows very well the tactics of misguiding the people. He should not sell out his credibility my making misguiding statements,” Vishnunath said.

He said the Youth Congress is of the opinion that that the investigation team which probed the murder of RMP leader T P Chandrsekharan did not look into the conspiracy behind it.

This prompted the Youth Congress to raise demand for a CBI probe into the murder. Those who hatched the conspiracy should be booked, he said.

About the controversial statement by PWD Minister V K Ebrahim Kunju that Muslim League is ruling the state, Vishnunath said that the minister should not have said that.

However, he said statements made by leaders to raise the spirits of its rank and file should be considered in that sense only.

“I’m of the view that leaders should not make loose statements. Sometimes unintentional statements may turn harmful leading to uncontrollable problems. The communal forces are waiting for such opportunities, Vishnunath said.

He further said it is the Nair Service Society (NSS) and the SNDP Yogam which prevented the communalisation of Hindu community in Kerala.

“The Sangh Parivar has tried their best to instil communal feeling among Hindus in the state, but their efforts did not bear fruit as NSS and SNDP effectively prevented it. Now the RSS has started their efforts again to penetrate into these organisations. The NSS and the SNDP leadership should be vigilant against this,” he said.

The Manavika Yathra commenced from Thunchan Parambu in Tirur will culminate at Thiruvananthapuram on October 12.
