Chennai: Noted music composer of yesteryear, T K Ramamurthy (91) died here today following brief illness.
The veteran composer, also a violinist, breathed his last this morning at a hospital, sources close to his family said.
The M S Viswanathan-Ramamurthy duo had composed music for a number of films including 'Karnan', the story of the warrior king which starred a galaxy of actors including South Indian thespians Sivaji Ganesan and N T Ramarao.
Later, Ramamurthy parted ways with Viswanathan in the mid-60s and composed music for a few films.
