Varanasi blasts: Police still clueless
On Friday night, UP police released sketches of four more persons who may have been involved in the attack on the Sankatmochan Temple.

Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh police on Friday night released sketches of four more persons, including a woman, who could be involved in the terror attack on the Sankatmochan Temple and cantonment railway station in the city earlier this month.

The sketches of the four persons were perpared on the basis of video recording of a marriage function in the Sankatmochan temple premises on the fateful day of March 7 in which the movements of four persons had been found to be suspicious.

The Senior Superintendent of Police, however, said these persons could also be devotees and may not be involved in the terror attack.

There was no concrete proof against these persons, he said.

Goswami had appealed to the local people to help the police in identifying the identities of these persons for investigation purposes.

The release of the sketches of the four persons came two weeks after former Varanasi SSP Navin Sikera had released the sketches of two suspects on March 9, two days after the blasts had rocked the temple town.

On the basis of the sketches, UP police had arrested two persons from Hardoi who were detained, questioned and later let off after being found innocent.

UP Director General of Police Yashpal Singh had recently said that the sketches released on March 9 have not helped investigations into the blasts.
