New York: India's Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan cruised into their first ever Grand Slam semifinal with a hard fought straight sets victory over 10th-seeded Dick Norman of Belgium and Wesley Moodie of South Africa at the US Open.

The 16th-seeded India-Pakistan pair beat Norman and Moodie 7-5, 7-6(2) in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Bopanna and Qureshi next play unseeded Argentine pair Eduardo Schwank and Horacio Zeballos.

Earlier on Monday, the 16th seeded Indo-Pak pair scored an upset win over second seeded Canadian-Serbian pair of Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic 6-3, 6-4 in a one-sided pre-quarterfinal clash at Flushing Meadows.

Both Bopanna and Qureshi were on song with their trademark aggressive serves and precision forehands as the duo demolished the Grand Slam contenders in straight sets.
