New Delhi: Hugh Jackman is back with the sixth installment of his hugely popular series 'X-Men'. Directed by James Mangold, 'The Wolverine' also features Rila Fukushima and Svetlana Khodchenkova in important roles.

The story carries forward the story of Logan (Jackman) who has become a recluse after the death of Jean Grey (Famke Janssen). He is now living a lonely life near a small Japanese town but he is not at peace as he is constantly having the nightmares related to the Second World War.

During one of his volatile moods, Logan gets persuaded to come to the heartland of Japan where he is to meet some of the old acquaintances.

Earlier, Darren Aronofsky was supposed to direct 'The Wolverine' but the makers roped in Mangold once Aronofsky left the project.

The earlier film of the series were particularly liked due to their high-octane action scenes and presence of a heavyweight starcast, but this time the onus will be on Hugh Jackman only to involve the audience in the narrative.

Rohit Vats of IBNLive is inside the theatre to live tweet the experience of 'The Wolverine'.

05:41 PM: The drama shifts to Japan. The director is trying to give the story a new meaning. Hope he succeeds. #Wolverine

05:54 PM: So, Logan is no longer a cave man. He has aged but the charm is still intact. #Wolverine

06:02 PM: Jean Grey is not absent from Logan's life but is she really there? Logan has to find many answers. #Wolverine

06:12 PM: This is abrupt but its a perfectly synchronised action sequence. Logan is more human now. #Wolverine

06:19 PM: Action, action and some more action. #Wolverine is at it. Just witnessed one of the finest action scenes of last 12 months.

06:28 PM: All the old enemies including Viper are getting back to Logan, their most hated friend. #Wolverine

06:37 PM: The director has focussed on creating emotional spaces between the actors. This doesn't go well with the legacy of X-Men. #Wolverine

06:39 PM: The film is entirely dependent on Hugh Jackman. There are no other strong characters to support him in the story. #Wolverine

06:40 PM: A film like The Wolverine needs to have a super fast tempo and sudden change of events. #Wolverine lacks in pace to some extent.

06:47 PM: The Wolverine has its own politics. It seems to propose for a Japan-US treaty. #Wolverine

06:44 PM: Japan will always remain a country of fast cars and mindless mafia for popular Hollywood. #Wolverine

07:20 PM: Bollywood would have made The Wolverine in exactly the same way. May be technically inferior. #Wolverine

07:23 PM: The Wolverine has reached to its climax. Is it going to be predictable? #Wolverine

07:32 PM: The Wolverine finishes with another action scene. There is a possibility of him returning soon. #Wolverine

07:38 PM: The Wolverine is a fun film which is totally dependent on Hugh Jackman and he doesn't disappoint. #Wolverine

07:39 PM: There are no layers or sub-texts in #Wolverine. Don't look for profound meanings.

07:40 PM: The story is predictable and thrives on action scenes. The train action sequence is indeed thrilling, other scenes are regular. #Wolverine

07:41 PM: The human side of Logan is probably not as fascinating as his mutant part. This film is too melodramatic. #Wolverine

07:42 PM: Watch it if you have been following the franchise and of course, for Hugh Jackman. #Wolverine

07:43 PM: Thanks for being with us throughout the tweet review of The Wolverine. #Wolverine
