TIRUMALA: The TTD has appealed to the Grihastas, who had booked Seva tickets like Poorabhishekam and Melchat Vastram in advance, to report 8 pm a day before at the Arjitha Seva office here.
If any Grihasta fails to report by the stipulated time, the ticket shall be cancelled and sold to other devotees under current booking through randomised numbering system. The new system will come into force on November 1.The TTD, with an aim to enable more number of pilgrims to participate in the most soughtafter sevas like Poorabhishekam and Melchat Vastram, had cancelled bulk booking tickets a couple of months ago. The civet and Kasturi vessel Abhishekam seva tickets are converted into Poorabhishekam Seva tickets. But some pilgrims who have booked these tickets well in advance are not turning up on the Seva date and as a result these tickets are going unutilised. To avoid this, the TTD has introduced the new system of transfer of vacancies to the current booking.
