THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A traffic awareness rally of two-wheelers was taken out here on Friday under the aegis of The New Indian Express and Vodafone. The rally was flagged off by City Police Commissioner Manoj Abraham on the Kanakakkunnu Palace premise. The aim of the rally was to spread awareness on grave cosequences of drunken driving and on the importance of following traffic rules, especially on the eve of the New Year. The bikers stopped at selected traffic junctions in the city and distributed fliers with the campaign’s message inscribed on them. Vodafone Deputy General Manager of Zonal Operations Vinod C, Senior Executive (Operations) Ramesh K, The New Indian Express Assistant Managers B Nagesh and Vineeth Kumar Nair, Sales Manager Nandu Kalesh, Territory Sales Manager Jijith Dominic and Senior Sales Executive G I Sumesh also attended the flag off ceremony.
