BANGALORE: More than 1,200 offer letters were given to engineering students participating in pooled campus placements rolled out by Acharya Institutes on Hesarghatta Main Road in Bangalore since march 2010. CBM Bhooshan, director, Placements and Sujay Christopher, assistant director, Placements, said that a total of 144 clients issued offer letters to the students from different parts of the country, who attended the sessions held throughout 2010-11. The 50th session was held by Wipro Infotech on July 26, 2011.Students with a score of less than 60 per cent are also invited. “We have clients who select students scoring below 60 per cent,” the statements said. Committed students of the institute are chosen as placement coordinators to help the entire process. “Ours is the only institute which invites students from government engineering colleges and rural institutes,’’ said a statement from the institute.
