The BIG Kannada Rising Star Awards 2011, was held in the city on September 23.The awards which recognises young talent in the film, television and sports industries, boasted a jury panel made up of Raghavendra Rajkumar, Mano Murthy, Jaggesh, Nagendra Prasad and Rajesh Krishnan.Ragini Dwivedi bagged the best actress award while Pankaj took home the trophy for best actor.The event also honoured swimmer Rehan Poncha, director Jayateertha, producer BV Srinivas, child artiste Pragathi, music director Giridhar Diwan and TV actor Pareekshit, among others.The grand gala evening saw some electrifying performances by Ragini, Neetoo, Yogesh and singer Chaitra.
