Thadiyantavide Nazeer, Shafas produced in Court

KANNUR: Terrorist Thadiyantavide Nazeer and his cohort Shafas were produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court (II) here on Tuesday, in the case of attempts to cause explosions at several places in the district. They were brought from the Viyyur Central Jail under heavy security on Monday evening. The two terrorists were involved in the Vinod murder case in Kannur city, an explosion at a meat stall and several other cases. The duo were also linked with the ice-cream bomb case at the Kannur Stadium Complex, and the detection of ammonium nitrate at Chakkarakkal. Meanwhile, the accused alleged that they were being ill-treated by the jail officials, and filed a complaint with the magistrate.
