"Terrorists fired at the security forces and in the exchange of fire, one militant was killed," a security official said.
One terrorist was killed on Monday in a shootout with security forces on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Kud area of Udhampur District.
The firing started when CRPF personnel, following an intelligence input, stopped for checking a JKSRTC vehicle which was going from Srinagar to Jammu
"Terrorists fired at the security forces and in the exchange of fire, one militant was killed," a security official said.
A woman passenger was also killed in the gunfight. The exchange of fire was still on late in the evening, the official added.
