HYDERABAD: Hoping that the Congress high command will take ‘some’ decision on the contentious Telangana issue by November 5, the party MLAs from the region have decided to meet here on Friday to chalk out their course of action.About 20 MLAs, including former ministers Jupalli Krishna Rao and Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, are expected to attend the meeting to be held at the Central Court at 11 am on Friday.Apart from discussing the Telangana statehood, the meeting will discuss welfare and developmental programmes in the constituencies being represented by T Congress legislators.Though the Telangana Congress steering committee, headed by minister K Jana Reddy and Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao, has been chalking out one course of action after the other, the MLAs have decided to meet separately and take decisions as being done by their party MPs from the region.According to Alair MLA B Bikshamaiah Goud, Telangana Congress MLAs are planning a visit to Delhi to bring pressure on the party high command for a favourable decision on Telangana.Steps would also be taken for implementation of welfare and developmental programmes in their constituencies keeping locals in view.
