Tamil Nadu: Fire Breaks Out at 4th Floor of Madurai Mall, No Casualties

A fire broke out inside a shopping mall at Tallakulam in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai on Saturday night, causing a frenzy among visitors. The incident took place on the fourth floor of the mall, close to the food court area.

Fire and Rescue Services personnel swiftly responded to an emergency call at the mall. Four fire tenders were deployed to douse the flame. A mechanical pump was used to blow out the smoke.

According to an ANI report, people present inside the mall and movie theatres were quickly evacuated through emergency exits. No casualties were reported in the incident.

In another incident, a deadly fire erupted in a fishing boat anchored at Rameswaram’s Pamban.

Firefighters are on the scene and efforts to douse the blaze are underway.
