Slamming BJP, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on Thursday, asked people to stay away from a political party 'hiding' its communal ideology by devising 'new definitions' of secularism.

He said Congress is the only party that could keep the nation and society united and could lead the country on the path of progress.

"Congress never believes in negative politics like rival BJP. We use sober language. Some leaders of BJP believe in using very derogatory words against its rivals," Singh told an election rally at Ram Lila Maidan in Jaipur.

Polling for the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly is scheduled on December 1.

The Prime Minister asked the people to guard themselves against political parties advocating "communal ideology by devising new definitions of secularism".

During the rally, Singh also stressed on the need to avoid separatists forces.
