THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The mercury level plunged appreciably below normal in the state for the past couple of days. The state would experience cool and dry weather for the coming two-three days, according to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Majority of stations in the state recorded minimum temperature of 2-3 degree celsius below normal since Monday.Met Director K Santhosh said the situation would continue for the coming two to three days. “A high pressure belt had developed over Central India. It was extended till Tamil Nadu and Kerala. This high pressure area is drawing cold and dry winds from North. Naturally temperature would go down. The situation would remain so for the next two to three days,” he said.
