RAMANATHAPURAM: Indian Coast Guard (ICG) personnel on Saturday received two fishermen of Jegathapattinam from the Lankan Navy in mid sea on Saturday. The source said the two were detained by the Lankan fishermen and then handed over to the island navy. The Lankan government kept them in prison for a few days.They were released by the Lankan government recently and taken to the International Maritime Boundary Line where they were handed over to ICG personnel. In turn, nine Lankan fishermen, who were detained for trespassing into Indian waters along with two boats, were handed over to the Lankan Navy. The fishermen were brought to Mandapam where preliminary inquiry was conducted by the intelligence agency.
