The Special Cell has arrested two suspected members of an inter-state gang involved in a series of murders in Bihar's Patna, police said.
The accused -- Ravi Singh (25) and Chhotu alias Prince (25) -- were arrested on Monday following a tip-off that the duo would come to Mayur Vihar from Noida border to meet one of their contacts.
"The two belong to the dreaded Pinku Chaudhary gang and are wanted in four cases of murder and two cases of dacoity in Patna," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Yadav said.
During interrogation, the duo reportedly revealed that two rival gangs, one led by Ajay Verma and the other by Pinku Chaudhary, had been mercilessly eliminating members of other camp to establish their domination in Patna.
"Pinku Chaudhary was shot dead in 2008 by Pappu Singh, Pinkesh, and Mastu -- members of the Ajay Verma gang. At present the gang is headed by one Mahesh Gob," he said. Police claimed that both Ravi and Chhotu had killed three members of the rival gang in the past one year.
