New Delhi: Three eagerly awaited films are set to release on Friday.
Director Pryas Gupta’s critically acclaimed Siddharth, The prisoner is all set to release in India along with the Oscar winner The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button and the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Pink Panther 2.
Siddharth-The Prisoner
The Rajat Kapoor starrer Siddharth-The Prisoner is based on the teachings of the Rig Veda but set in contemporary times. Kapoor plays a writer who has just been released from the jail and hopes to reconnect with the outside world though his book. But the briefcase containing his only manuscript gets replaced with another one, containing a large sum of money at a cyber cafe. Instead of being on a path of renunciation, Siddharth as the protagonist finds himself caught in a web of life!
The Pink Panther 2
The much talked about Aishwarya starrer The Pink Panther 2 finally hits the screens. This sequel to The Pink Pantherfeatures Steve Martin as Inspector Jacques Clouseau who teams up with a squad of International detectives on a mission to stop a globe-trotting thief from stealing historic artifacts. Aiding him in his efforts is Sonia, a detective agent, played by Ash. The film also stars Jean Reno and Andy Garcia.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Adapted from the literary giant F Scott Fitzgerald's short story, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is about the life and times of a man who ages backwards. Directed by David Fincher, the film has Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett in the lead roles. Pitt was nominated for Best Actor at the Academy's this year for his role, but the film picked up Oscars for its art direction, costume and makeup instead.
