PUDUCHERRY: The Federation for People’s Rights (FPR) on Sunday urged Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to take steps to prevent execution of the death sentence of those accused in the assassination of former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi.FPR secretary, G Sugumaran, urged the TN government to save the lives of Santhan, Murugan and Perarivalan, whose clemency petitions were rejected by President Pratibha Patil. He called for their sentence to be commuted to life terms, as the case was not over yet, and said the sentence was against natural justice.
