Prof S Ratna Kumari of economics department at Sri Venkateswara University has been appointed vice-chancellor of Sri Padmavathi Mahila University here by the state government on Thursday.
She did her PhD in economics from SV University and has been working as a faculty member since 34 years and was promoted as a professor 14 years ago. Under her guidance, seven students completed their PhDs and 15 students M-Phils. She had 38 publications to her credit including 10 in international magazines and 28 in national magazines.
During her 34 years of service, Ratna Kumari held several positions including, coordinator of master of business economics course, master of arts in economics and NSS coordinator in SVU.
