Plea to appoint oncologists at general hospital

KOCHI: The Jeevan Raksha Charity and Service Society has asked the government to fill up vacant posts of oncologists in the Ernakulam General Hospital on  urgent basis. The organisation blamed the government for transferring two oncologists from the hospital. Even after over three months since the doctors got transferred, the posts were still lying vacant.  Patients, some from neighbouring districts, were now forced to return home without receiving any treatment, which was disappointing.
