BANGALORE: Lokayukta Justice Shivaraj V Patil on Friday dispatched letters to former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani seeking their ‘comments’ regarding the complaint filed against them by Alam Pasha, a businessman.Patil told the media, “After getting their comments, I will take further action.” Yeddyurappa and Nirani are facing allegations of forging Pasha’s signature to grab 26 acres of land allotted to him.Pasha had filed a complaint with the Lokayukta, alleging that someone had forged his letterhead, along with seal and signature, requesting them to cancel the land allotted to him.He claimed that he came to know about the scam when he went to KIADB office to check the reason for delay in sanctioning the land allotted to him.Subsequently, Pasha filed a complaint with the Lokayukta on September 2 against Karnataka Udyog Mitra represented by two persons.Pasha suspected that the accused have not only cheated the Global Investors Meet (GIM) participants, by denying land for setting up industries, and are involved in large-scale irregularities.“The whole GIM is an eyewash and was held to benefit the ministers’ kith and kin and their supports through compensation packages,” Pasha said, adding that this has not only denied opportunity to genuine investors, but also incurred huge loss to the state exchequer.Pasha, who had proposed to build 600 houses for the economical weaker section at reasonable rates, submitted his proposal through his company ‘Pasha Space International Private Limited’.In the last GIM, Pasha’s project was approved and allotted 26 acres in the special economic zone near Devanahalli International Airport.Overwhelmed by this, Pasha had even signed an MoU with an MNC construction company to develop his project LOKAYUKTA COURT GRANTS BAIL TO HDK, ANITA KUMARASWAMYBANGALORE: At last the Kumaraswamy couple stepped into the accused box in the Lokayukta Special Court on Friday.Former CM H D Kumaraswamy and his wife Anitha are facing a case, under the Prevention of Corruption Act, filed by an advocate Vinod Kumar, charging them of giving mining lease to Jantakal Mining Company and allotting lumpsum land to the Vishwabharathi Cooperative Society.The couple came to the court and stood in the accused box for about half-an-hour.Meanwhile, advocate counsel Hasmath Pasha submitted a copy of anticipatory bail of the couple granted by the High Court to the Lokayukta Court.Another accused, Vinod Goel, MD of Jantakal Mining Company, was absent; the advocate cited his absence due to illhealth.Judge Sudheendra Rao granted him the exemption and posted the hearing to September 24.One, D Venkatesh of Sampangiramanagar, gave a personal surety for the Kumaraswamy couple and personal bonds of Rs. 50,000 each were also submitted to court
