BANGALORE: The First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court reserved the order on actor Darshan’s bail petition till Tuesday. On Monday afternoon, the court heard the bail plea filed by Darshan’s counsel. Meanwhile, senior assistant public prosecutor G H Amruth Kumar filed objections to the granting of bail to the actor. In his argument, the public prosecutor told the court that the actor was facing charges like attempt to murder and he was booked under the Arms Act.“The accused has caused grave injuries to his wife. She has also given a statement before the investigating officer about the attack and even medical reports say that she sustained serious injuries. And, the actor has been booked under various sections that are very serious in nature,” he argued.Countering the argument, the defense counsel C R Raghavendra Reddy said that the court should not consider the statements made by the complainant Vijayalakshmi. “As the complainant is herself present before the court and has made statements, the court should consider her version. Moreover, she has not sustained any grave injury and has been discharged from the hospital. So, my client could be granted the bail,” Reddy said  during the hearing. But the public prosecutor again raised objection and said, “The complainant is educated and she filed the case on her own wish making allegations against her husband. So, the complaint should be considered seriously. And, as the accused is an influential person, he would again try to harm her. So, I request to not grant him the bail,” Kumar argued. After hearing the arguments of the both, the magistrate, Venkatesh R Hulagi, reserved the order till Tuesday. Before the petition was taken up, Vijayalakshmi and Darshan’s brother Dinakar along with two doctors met the public prosecutor and informed him that the complainant wanted to withdraw the case. Reportedly, Vijayalakhsmi broke down before the public prosecutor and told him that she was deeply worried about the future of her and her son. Vijayalakshmi, Dinakar and a few film producers attended the hearing.
