OPCC forms panel to analyse poll debacle

BHUBANESWAR: President of the OPCC Niranjan Patnaik has constituted a committee to analyse the reasons behind the party’s dismal performance in the panchayat polls. While former Union minister Chandrasekhar Sahu will be the chairman of the committee, former minister Sarat Rout has been appointed convener. The members of the committee include former minister Ramakrushna Patnaik, former MP Sriballav Panigrahi, president of the Odisha Mahila Congress Bijaylaxmi Sahu, president of the Odisha Pradesh Youth Congress Sangram Keshari Jena and president of the Odisha Pradesh Chhatra Congress Chinmoy Kumar Sahu. The committee will submit its report to the PCC president, general secretary Arjya Kumar Gyanendra said.
