Only god can save us, says Kharge

BANGALORE: “One cannot expect anything better from the two. If everybody starts to unravel truth in the name of faith, only god can save us,” was how Union Minister for Labour and Employment Mallikarjun Kharge described Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his predecessor H D Kumaraswamy’s challenge to testify before the presiding deity of Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Temple.Stating that the “divine oath” has no “constitutional sanctity”, Kharge addressed newsmen here on Sunday that both the leaders who were administered the oath of office as before the public were notorious for breaking their pledge to discharge their Constitutionally- directed duties.Adding that these leaders are raking up needless controversies at the cost of state exchequer when several burning issues are there to be attended to, the union minister blamed the two for the problem.
