Jammu: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, an avid user of Twitter, on Saturday congratulated the micro-blogging site on its birthday and greeted people on the occasion of Navroz.
"So today is @twitter's birthday as well, many happy returns of the day: @newsflicks," the former chief minister who is an MLA from Beerwah, wrote on his Twitter account.
The social networking site was co-founded on March 21, 2006 in San Francisco city in the US by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glass.
Omar also wished his followers on the occasion of Navroze and Navratras, ""Navroze Mubarak and Happy Navratras to all of you." For the Kashmiri Pandit community, which observes the day as the first day of the New Year as per the Hindu calendar, he tweeted, "Navreh Mubarak to all as well."
"One day, so many different festivals being celebrated. This is what makes for an #IncredibleIndia," he tweeted. Omar also took a dig at the recent cheating incident in Bihar, where parents were seen climbing walls of a school to help their wards cheat in the board exams.
Omar wrote, "India's image abroad isn't damaged by documentary films, it's damaged by photographs of cheating in exams & by lying PP's like Nikam".
