New Delhi: A 5-year-old boy died after he drowned in a septic tank of a municipal corporation-run school in south west Delhi's Kapashera area this afternoon.
"The boy who was a student of a primary school run by SDMC died after he drowned in the septic tank of the school on Wednesday. We have registered a case and an investigation has been initiated," said a senior police officer.
The incident took place around 11.45 am when nursery student Ankit fell inside the septic tank which was open, police said.
Some labourers who were working nearby the school later fished out the boy from the tank and informed the police.
