Non-Telangana staff challenge transfers

HYDERABAD: Hundreds of state government employees, aggrieved by the AP Administrative Tribunal's order on GO 610, approached the High Court on Monday challenging their transfer/repatriation from Telangana and Hyderabad to their native zones under the said GO. The petitions are likely to come up for hearing before the vacation bench on May 9. The vacation bench had, on May 2, ordered status quo with regard to implementation of the GO. The petitioners challenged the order of the full bench of the tribunal which had dismissed all petitions filed by employees challenging their transfers from Telangana to their native zones. The petitioners now pleaded the HC that even persons who were recruited prior to the said GO sought to be repatriated.
