Patna: Patna's 1, Anne Marg this year is not witnessing any 'Kapra Phad Holi' with the inimitable Lalu Prasad tearing of his clothes and dancing to drum beats and Bhojpuri songs.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is celebrating the festival of colours at his official residence in a decent manner'.

Asked if he would continue with the tradition of 'Kapra Phad Holi' from Lalu's time, Kumar, who moved into his official residence on Tuesday night, said everyone has their own taste. "And in any case, it was not a healthy tradition. I believe in playing Holi in a decent manner."

The 'Kapra Phad Holi' or the poor condition of clothes of ministers and party functionaries after visiting the bunglow in the past on Holi used to be a delight for the lensmen.

Kumar said he would not entertain any visitor at his bunglow on Wednesday morning, but greet people with gulal in the evening at 1, Anne Marg.

"I am of the opinion that Holi is a festival to promote harmony and friendship in a gentle manner," he said.
