Bihar Floor Test LIVE: Nitish Kumar Govt Wins Trust Vote; RJD Stages Walkout From Assembly
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government won the floor test in Bihar Assembly on Monday (January 12). RJD leader Awadh Bihari Chaudhary was removed as Bihar assembly speaker. A no-confidence motion moved by the ruling NDA against the Speaker received the support of 125 MLAs, while 112 members voted against it in the 243-strong assembly. RJD received a jolt inside the assembly ahead of voting on a no-confidence motion against Chaudhary, where at least three of its members sat on the ruling party benches.
