New Delhi: The rumour mills have started churning out reports that actor Daniel Craig wants fellow Brit Sienna Miller to be the next Bond girl.
Craig is apparently so pleased with the on-screen chemistry he shared with Sienna Miller in their movie Layer Cake, that he is asking Bond movie producers to cast the actress opposite him in the upcoming Bond flick Casino Royale.
"He feels they’ve got great on-screen chemistry and is convinced that although she is not a huge international name she would be the perfect Bond girl," the Daily Mail quoted the insider, as saying.
But Craig, who reportedly had a two-week fling with Miller in real life, could find his on-screen chemistry with the actress turning into a cause of major fireworks as Miller’s boy-friend Jude Law, who is said to be very unenthusiastic about the move.
The role has already been spurned by the likes of Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron and Naomi Watts. The reason? Fear of falling prey to the 'curse of the Bond girl.'
Shooting for Casino Royale begins in Prague early this year. The film is an adaptation of author Ian Fleming's first James Bond novel.
It will be directed by Golden Eye filmmaker Martin Campbell.
