New Delhi: Files related to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, which were declassified by the Narendra Modi government on Tuesday, have suggested that Netaji might have survived the plane crash in 1945.
According to the declassified files, Netaji is believed to have made three radio broadcasts after August 18, 1945, when a plane crash is believed to have killed Bose.
Reports said that the monitoring service of the Governor House in Bengal had picked up the broadcasts made by Netaji.
The first of the three broadcasts was reportedly made on December 26, 1945, while the second and the third broadcasts were made in January 1946 and February 1946 respectively.
During the first broadcast, Netaji had claimed to be under the "shelter of great world powers". He had also vowed to return to India "on the crest of the third world war".
On January 1, 1946, in the second broadcast, Netaji had called for getting freedom "within two years". He had also said that "India will not be free by the means of non violence".
