Naveena Swayamwaram held

CHENNAI: The Anaithu India Davangar (Telugu) Samooga Nala Sangam organised a Naveena Swayamvaram for men and women belonging to the community in the city recently.    As many as 71 prospective grooms and 22 prospective brides, accompanied by their parents, took part and introduced themselves on the stage, besides putting forth their expectations. Most of them opted to speak in Tamil, as they were not comfortable in speaking in their mother tongue, though the organisers insisted on communicating in Telugu. Earlier, Usha Ramakrishnan, marriage counsellor, addressed the gathering.
