Mumbai: CB files chargesheet in the 2nd gangrape case at Shakti Mills
An 18-year-old telephone operator was allegedly gangraped by five men at the Shakti Mills compound on July 31.

Mumbai: The Mumbai Crime Branch on Tuesday filed a chargesheet in the gangrape case of an 18-year-old girl at the the deserted Shakti Mills compound in Mahalaxmi.

An 18-year-old telephone operator was allegedly gangraped by five men at the Shakti Mills compound on July 31, three of the accused are also involved in the gangrape case of a photojournalist.

The three accused involved in both the cases are Salim Ansari, Vijay Jadhav, Mohammed Qasim alias 'Qasim Bangali'. The fourth accused is a minor and has been lodged at a juvenile remand home. The fifth accused was arrested on September 14.

On August 22 evening, a photojournalist was sexually assaulted at the Shakti Mills compound, when she had gone there on an assignment with her male colleague. Within three days, the police nabbed all five accused in the case.

On September 3, another gangrape surfaced, after a telephone operator complained to the police that she too was gangraped by a group of five at Shakti Mills on July 31.
