Mumbai: BMC deadline over but roads still full of potholes
The BMC had announced that action would be taken against contractors if roads were potholed.

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation had set a deadline of July 28 for filling up the potholes on Mumbai roads. While the deadline came to an end on the midnight of July 28, several roads in the city still have huge potholes.

The BMC had also announced that action would be taken against contractors if the roads which they had repaired were found to be potholed.

But contrary to the claims made by the BMC, many roads still had potholes.

IBN7 visited several areas to check out the condition of roads. The roads in BMC Standing Committee Chairperson Rahul Shewale's area of Mankhurd too had several potholes. It seems that BMC's deadline did not apply to the area.

Even the condition of roads in Bandra Mahim Junction which connects the western areas of Mumbai is not good. Similarly potholes are visible in Parel and NM Joshi road.

What's your reaction?
