It would be a sort of clash of the titans when Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi address rallies in different parts of Uttar Pradesh on March 2.
While Mulayam is scheduled to address Desh Bachao Desh Banao rally in Allahabad, Modi would address Maha Vijay Shankhnad rally in Lucknow on the same day.
Earlier too the rallies of the two leaders have clashed on November 21 and December 20 last year and January 23 this year.
On being asked about the clash, BJP's state chief spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said SP was issue-less after failing on the administrative front. There was resentment among people towards SP government and in such a sitiuation,to prove their importance, the party was organising a rally on the same day as Modi's, he said.
The BJP leader alleged that people were not getting the desired benefits of the much publicised schemes of the government. Neither the youth got unemployment allowance properly nor did poor get blankets properly, he said.
SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said that Mulayam and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav would address the rally on March 2 in Allahabad, and preparations were on to make it a success.
