Three students of a private school at Girinagar in Qutbullahpur near Hyderabad were injured when a window from the under-construction building adjacent to the school fell on them during the downpour.Coal production has been suspended in open cast mines at Manugur, Yellendu and Kothagudem in Khammam district where rains have been incessant in the last three days. On the sunny side of this monsoon, this week’s rains have been a relief to farmers, with kharif sowing of paddy and cotton picking up. Farm activities have gained momentum in Warangal, Karimnagar, Medak, Rangareddy, and Nalgonda districts.Officials said there have been good inflows into reservoirs and tanks across Telangana. Until 6.30 pm Saturday, inflows into the Singur project stood at 2,500 cusecs and outflows 300 cusecs. Heavy rainfall (4.6 mm) was recorded in the Manjeera catchment area in Medak.
