A moderate intensity quake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale shook some parts of Jharkhand and Bihar on Tuesday morning. The quake, with its epicentre at Deogarh in Jharkhand, was felt at around 8 AM and lasted for a few seconds.
The affected areas include Gaya, Jamui, Banka and Bhagalpur in Bihar and Deoghar and Dhanbad in Jharkhand among others.
There have been no reports of any damage so far.
People rushed out of their houses after experiencing the tremors.
