THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a troubleshooting exercise, Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) national secretary T J Chandrachoodan met CPM leader V S Achuthanandan here on Monday following his outburst against party state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan. Before meeting VS, Chandrachoodan had telephoned Pinarayi Vijayan. However, no positive results have come out of the meeting, it is learnt. Later, Chandrachoodan admitted to mediapersons that he had discussed politics with Achuthanandan. Chandrachoodan said that he did not want to divulge the details at this juncture. Chandrachoodan had contacted veteran RSP leader K Pankajakshan and RSP state secretary A A Aziz before meeting Achuthanandan. Sources said the Opposition Leader was not in a mood to make any climbdown. The RSP leader had donned the mediator’s role when VS had decided to keep away from the ‘Navakerala Yatra’ launched by Pinarayi Vijayan in 2009. VS had then climbed down from his defiant posture and participated in the valedictory meeting.
