In her complaint, she alleged that she was raped and the accused also took away her iPhone and some currency. The police have registered a case of rape under section 376 of the IPC and US embassy in New Delhi has been informed.
The rape case comes just months after a Swiss tourist was gangraped in Madhya Pradesh.
